The Great Mazurian Lakes district is the unique region in Europe. It is there that you can experience the real sailing adventure, spending several days on the water trails running through an area of exuberant forests are beautiful marinas.

Last year the Masurian Lake District was chosen as one of the finalists in the New 7 Wonders of Nature contest.

During MAZURY CRUISE 2010 SAILING FESTIVAL each participant is accommodated in comfortable yachts cabins. Sleeping inside the boat moored to the harbour will be a very unique experience, especially for those who has never sail/ sleep in the boat before.

IMPORTANT: Each participant need to have own sleeping bag and a pillow.

During our stay in Krakow, before the cruise, we will be accommodated in a comfortable hotel in the city center of Krakow (all bed linen provided by the hotel).

On every boat, there is a fully equipped kitchen. During our cruise all meels will be prepared by the crew in shifts on the boat. Shifts will have to be created/approved by the captain of the boat.

In every harbour there will be restaurants where we can have dinners when we will be too tired of cooking on the boat :).

COMMON – BOARD - SHOPPING:

Before our cruise starts in GIZYCKO marina, each crew gathers with their captain and agrees on the menu and items/products/beverages, that need to be purchased for preparing all meels during 6 days long cruise.

PLEASE NOTE that while being on board you are under supervision of your captain, who is responsible for your safety. Thus, you have to strictly follow all orders that your captain gives to you and share all duties on the boat like cooking, cleaning etc.

Our sailing route will start in Gi¿ycko, the city called the water capital of the Masurian Lake District located on the lake Niegocin near Lake Kisajno and will follow one of most popular routes south towards MIkolajki and Sniardwy lake.

Sniardwy lake is the biggest lake in Poland marking 150 square km. Sailing on Sniardwy lake thanks to its unique winds is an unforgettable experience.

Our planed sailing route will oscilate around 250 km.

TALLINN CHECK-IN:

• 20. 05. 2010: 5.00 p.m. : Departure from Tallinn’s Viking Line terminal bus parking.

• 21. 05. 2010: 4.00 p.m.: Arrival to a hotel in Krakow, check-in and free time.

• 22.05.2010: 8.00 a.m.: Departure for a one day trip to Wieliczka and Oswiecim cities. Guided tour in the ancient salt mine of Wieliczka; in the afternoon transfer to Oswiecim city and guided tour around ‘Aushwitz Memorial Museum’. Return back to a hotel in Krakow: around 7.00 p.m.

• 23. 05. 2010: 10.00 a.m.: Guided city tour around Krakows main sites( incl. Wawel Royal Castle, Mariacki Cathedral, Sukienice square and ‘Kazimierz’ jewish district).

• 23. 05. 2010: 7.00 p.m.: Departure from Krakow towards Gizycko harbor.

• 24. 05. 2010: 6.00 a.m.: Arrival in Gizycko harbor; checking-in the boats; common board shopping; sailing out from Gizycko harbor: around 11.00 a.m.

• 24. 05. 2010 - 29. 05. 2010: 6 days long sailing adventure in the Great Mazurian Lake District!

• 29. 05. 2010: 2.00 p.m.: Departure from Gizycko towards Tallinn.

• 30. 05. 2010: 9.00 a.m.: Arrival back to Tallinn’s Viking Line terminal.

• PASSPORT or Personal IDs,Students ID

• SLEEPING BAG: I really wouldn't like to be in a place of a person who will forget a sleeping bag... sleeplessness guaranteed than .. :)

• Rubber (soft )shoes (NOT PLASTIC)

• Both worm clothes and swimming sets (May in Poland is generally very hot month).

• Sunbathing cream, especially for face: VERY IMPORTANT, while being on board, You do not feel how fast sun is tanning Your skin, normally begginnig sailors, who does not listen to this advice, get sun burn after first day to suffer all next ones...

• Working gloves (the same as you use for cycling - no fingers)or preferably sailing glives.

• Caps (warm one and one against the sun)

• Scarf

• Gitars or any other portable music instruments!
